On March 3, the Department of Rural Science and Technology and the Rural Technology Development Center of MOST, with the help of experts in the relevant fields, conducted acceptance evaluation of the “comprehensive technology system for forest resources surveillance” project supported by the National Key Technologies R&D Program.
This project, which lasted for five years, was conducted by more than 300 scientists representing 27 research institutes, colleges and high-tech companies from 14 provinces. The project has significantly improved the administration and IT application of forest resources, wetlands, disasters and construction surveillance in China. At the same time, it has provided valuable technology support for eco-improvement and sustainable forest management, and upgraded the national standards for forest resources surveillance and early-warning.
