The Department of Development Planning and the Torch High Tech Industrial Development Center of MOST held a Press Conference on the Public Trading of National Major Science and Technology Achievements during the 11th Five-Year Plan Period at China National Convention Center, Beijing on March 13.

After initial screening, 26 major S&T achievements have been selected for this public trading activity. All of these achievements are made in the projects supported by the National Basic Research Program (973 Program), National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), National Key Technologies R&D Program, National Science and Technology Major Projects and other national plans, and cover biomedicine, energy conservation and emissions reduction, agricultural S&T, information technology and other fields. This is the first time that S&T achievements are traded publically through listing, auction and bidding.
