On March 11, 2011, the automotive experts from NPC and CPPCC met in Beijing.
The delegates exchanged views on ways to promote sustainable development of China’s auto industry, focusing on the difficulties and prospects of new-energy vehicles and the challenges confronted by the auto industry under new circumstances. They also offered recommendations and advice on government policies for the auto industry.
Minister WAN Gang gave specific instructions for cultivating China’s indigenous auto brands. He pointed out that Chinese automakers need to enhance implementation of relevant rules and standards, develop innovative business models, and step up publicity efforts when developing new energy vehicles.
