On March 17, 2011, the First Conference on EU Science and Technology Fellowship Programme China (EU STF China) was held in Beijing. At the request of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), a number of officials from CSTEC attended the opening ceremony of the conference.

The conference was intended to sum up the achievements made by the fellows of the EU STF China during their research in the host organizations and to share the experience and challenges during research in China.

At the opening ceremony and during sub-sessions, participants from the CSTEC interacted with the officials, experts and scholars from the Program extensively. Both sides agreed to maintain contact with each other and held preliminary discussions on future cooperation.
