The 2011 spring event of the Ambassadors’ Club for Science and Technology was held in Beijing and Baoding from March 18to 20. Minister Wan Gang briefed the ambassadors on the current situation of China’s scientific and technological (S&T) development, the progress in the implementation of major S&T projects, the outcome of the recently concluded Exhibition on China’s Major S&T Achievements during the 11th Five-Year Plan Period and the initial plans for S&T development during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

Initiated by Minster Wan Gang, the Ambassadors’ Club for Science and Technology was established in March 2009, to help improve international S&T cooperation at the local level by providing Chinese ambassadors with a platform of communication and interaction with companies, research institutions, and universities.
