On April 8, 2011, Vice Minister Cao Jianlin of Science and Technology addressed the opening ceremony of the 2011 China LED Interior Lighting Technology Development Forum in Xiamen.

Cao stated that in the 12th Five-Year Plan period, MOST will continue to vigorously support the development of LED lighting technology and industry and further promote the pilot project of LED lights in dozens of cities.

The forum provided an excellent platform for an in-depth discussion on the development of the LED lighting technology and industry, especially the application of the LED technology in interior lighting and for other general lighting purposes. The forum also played an important role in strengthening the cross-strait cooperation in LED lighting.
