At the invitation of Serbia Ministry of Education and Science, Vice Minister Cao Jianlin visited Serbia on May 17th to 20th. Zarko Obradovic, Serbia Minister for Education and Science, met Cao on May 19th. The two reviewed friendship and expressed the willingness to support sci-tech cooperation projects for more dynamic bilateral relations.

Cao then chaired 1st regular meeting of China-Serbia sci-tech cooperation committee with VM for Education and Science Mitrovic. Both sides briefed each other on S&T strategies, progress on basic and applied research, and exchanged opinions on how to promote bilateral collaboration. They approved intergovernmental cooperation plan during 2011 to 2013, and identified 12 projects. A protocol was signed after the meeting.
