Vice Minister Chen Xiaoya met with Juergen Mlynek, the President of Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers on August 24th.
Chen said that as the largest scientific research institute in Germany, Helmholtz's research priorities correspond with those of China, in particulare during the 12th five-year plan and related to national major programmes. She also expressed the willingness to encourage Chinese universities, enterprises and research institutes to work with German counterparts, including Helmholtz.
Mlynek spoke highly of MOST's contribution to China-Germany S&T cooperation in recent years. He briefed the Chinese side on Helmholtz's development strategy and progress in China, and looked forward to extensive collaboration in basic research and cutting-edge technologies.
