Minister Wan Gang met with Jean Charest, the Premier of Quebec Province of Canada, at MOST on August 29th, and the two renewed the agreement on science and technology cooperation between MOST and the government of Quebec.

The cooperation agreement was signed in 1995 and was later renewed in 2005. Since 2007, both sides invested over 20 million yuan for 14 joint research projects in the field of information technology and life sciences.
