Minister Wan Gang met with Dr. Ching-Yen Tsay, the Chairman of Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) at MOST on September 19th.
Minister Wan said that cross-Strait technology cooperation has great bearing on S&T development of both sides. The two sides of the Straits should strengthen S&T ties. He also stressed that cutting-edge technology exerts great influence on the cultivation and development of emerging industries. Therefore, both sides should enhance the cooperation in cutting-edge technology and complement each other to gain strength in new technological renovation, contributing to the cross-Strait economic progress. Chairman Tsay expressed his willingness to promote S&T cooperation and set up a mechanism to jointly address global economic challenges.
