Minister Wan Gang met with Ms. Cristina Garmendia, Spanish Minister of Science and Innovation (MICINN) at MOST on October 24th.

Minister Wan briefed the Spanish side on China's 12th Five-year Plan on S&T Development. He also made comments on promoting future cooperation on S&T innovation, and encouraged Spanish universities, research institutes and enterprises to enhance cooperation with China, particularly the innovation cooperation focusing on small and medium hi-tech enterprises.

Ms. Garmendia briefed the Chinese side on Spanish S&T development, and expressed the willingness to enhance innovation cooperation with China, especially in health and energy to spur bilateral relation and technical cooperation.
