The 4th China-Canada Joint Commission Meeting on S&T Cooperation was held in Vancouver on October 31st, 2011. Vice Minister Cao Jianlin and President of Canadian Institutes of Health Research Alain Beaudet co-chaired the meeting.

The two sides briefed each other on their latest progress of S&T policies and development plan, identified the list of projects in the third round of intergovernmental S&T cooperation, and reviewed the achievements since the signing of intergovernmental cooperation agreement. The two also listened to the reports by three working groups on Agrofood and biological products, information and communication technology and civil aviation, reaching consensus on future cooperation projects in life sciences and clean technology.
