On October 22nd, the 15th Meeting of China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Coordination Council was held in Singapore. Under the witness of the Council President on the Chinese side, Vice-premier Zhang Gaoli and the Council President on the Singaporean side, Vice PM Teo Chee Hean, Mr. Cao Jianlin, Vice Minister of Science and Technology and Mr. Lee Yi Shyan, Senior Minister of State of the Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore signed the Letter of Intent on Deepening Cooperation of the Commercialization of Suzhou Industrial Park research findings between Ministry of Science and Technology of China and Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) Singapore.
Suzhou Industrial Park is one of the flagship inter-governmental projects between China and Israel. Since the establishment of the Park 19 years ago, the two sides have worked to build the Park into one of the most developed and competitive development zones in the country. On the occasion of initiating the establishment of China-Singapore Innovation Center, the two countries will carry out substantial cooperation in building national joint laboratories and technology transfer platforms, creating innovative entrepreneurial environment, providing intellectual property service, and integrating S&T with finance etc. As an important platform for bilateral S&T cooperation, China-Singapore Innovation Center will improve cooperation between technical entities or enterprises of both countries, promote innovation on cooperation approaches, enrich the content of the cooperation and facilitate the transformation, upgrading and innovative development of the Industrial Park.
