On the afternoon of March 24, Vice Minister of Science & Technology Dr. Xu Nanping met with visiting Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) Professor Su-Seng Pang. The two sides exchanged ideas about advancing development of environmental protection in MUST, hoping to strengthen S&T cooperation in environmental protection between China’s mainland and Macau.
Vice Minister Xu extended a warm welcome to Vice President Pang. He said that in the 13th Five-Year Plan, China will continue to increase input in the environmental protection sector. Under such a context, it is of great importance to strengthen cooperation in this field between China’s mainland and Macau. MOST will continue its support to Macau in making greater progress in science and technology sector, environmental sciences in particular. Vice President Pang expressed his appreciation of the support the Ministry has rendered to Macau in S&T sector, saying S&T cooperation is having a greater impact on the general public in Macau and achieving satisfactory results.
