On 25 June 2016, under the witness of the Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang and Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO Anatoly Chubais signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and RUSNANO on Furthering Innovation Cooperation.
According to the MOU, the two sides will support the initiative of a China-Russia direct investment fund on innovation, enhance cooperation in jointly holding youth innovation and entrepreneurship activities, push for the implementation of China-Russia R&D projects in science and technology, enhance cooperation in technology transfer, personnel exchange and other fields, and facilitate cooperation between business incubators and science parks of the two countries.
Established in 2007, RUSNANO was mandated by the Russian Federal Government to formulate and implement the country’s state policies for nanotechnology and promote the industrialization of nanotechnology outcomes.
