4th China-Korea Joint Coordinating Meeting for Cooperation in Fusion Energy Research Held in Busan of Korea
On Jul. 25-26, 2016, the Fourth China-Korea Joint Coordinating Meeting for Cooperation in Fusion Energy Research was held in Busan, Korea. Luo Delong, Executive Deputy Director General of the Nuclear Fusion Center headed the delegation to Korea and attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the progress of joint research under the agenda of bilateral cooperation in six fields as determined in the last session, discussed the existing problems and work plan of next stage, and determined the agenda of cooperation for the following year of cooperation.
Signed by Wan Gang, Chinese Minister of Technology and Ju-ho Lee, Korean Minister of Education, Science and Technology at the end of 2011, the Executive Agreement of China-Korea Cooperation in Nuclear Fusion Energy is committed to strengthening cooperation between China and Korea in magnetic confinement nuclear fusion, pushing forward the joint implementation of the ITER initiative and promoting vigorous development of research on nuclear fusion energy in Asia.
