Sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the 2016 Autumn Session of “Sci-Tech Home for Ambassadors” was held in the City of Zhenjiang in East China on Sept. 26-28, 2016. Participants included former Chinese Ambassador to France Zhao Jinjun, former Head of the Chinese Delegation to the EU Guan Chengyuan and former Under Secretary General of the United Nations Sha Zukang.

The ambassadors visited Sino-Swiss Zhenjiang Ecological Industrial Park, Daqo Group, CSSC Marine Power Co., Ltd., Hengshen Co., Ltd. and BAIC Group East China Base. These five institutions impressed ambassadors with respective features, ranging from overseas personnel recruitment to international patented technology industrialization to overseas market exploitation that proved the important role of international S&T cooperation in corporate development. The ambassadors also gave talks on “S&T Innovation in Today’s World”, receiving a positive response from representatives of local government departments, zones and parks, and businesses. The ambassadors fully affirmed the progress of Zhenjiang in international S&T cooperation.
