The 11th Session of China-Slovenia Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee was held in Nanjing on November 9th, 2016. The meeting was jointly presided over by Ye Dongbai, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology; and Tit Neubauer, Head of the International Cooperation and EU Office of the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

The Chinese side introduced the latest progress of science, technology and innovation in China and efforts to continue reforming the management of science and technology projects, promote integration between S&T progress and economic growth, and further international cooperation. The Slovenian side introduced its policies on science, technology and innovation, management system of research programs, and engagement in international cooperation, especially the building of centers of excellence and national competitiveness.  The two sides stated they would work together to upgrade bilateral cooperation from personnel exchange to R&D cooperation.

The two sides reviewed the implementation of projects agreed at the 10th Joint Committee Meeting, discussed and adopted new projects on such areas as agriculture and food technologies, information and communications technologies, environmental protection and material science.
 
The two sides also signed the meeting protocol.
