Lately the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report has been released. The China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) has been listed as the only Chinese institute in the prestigious list of Think Tanks with the Most Innovative Policy Ideas/Proposals. The list ranks a total of 35 think tanks including big names such as Brookings Institution and European Council on Foreign Relations.
In 2016, CSTEC successfully sponsored the Think 20 (T20) Summit with the theme of Towards a Collaborative, Inclusive and Dynamic Global Innovation Environment. After the meeting, CSTEC prepared research outcomes entitled Science, Technology and Innovation, for the Future Development of G20 which provided support to outcome documents of the G20 Hangzhou Summit and the first G20 Science, Technology and Innovation Ministers Meeting. The report was among the 50 articles listed by the Best Policy Study/Report Produced by a Think Tank of the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report.
The annual Global Go To Think Tank Index Report which covers nearly 7,000 think tanks worldwide is produced by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania with engagement of nearly 5,000 journalists, officials and experts in various fields. Initiated with the support of the United Nations, the report has been issued annually for ten consecutive years since 2007. With a rigorous evaluation system, global coverage and excellent reputation, the report has become one of the most influential think tank ranking in the world.
