At the invitation of Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Suleiman Zuhairi of Palestine, Zhang Jianguo, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China, visited Palestine in late October and met with Allam Mousa, Minister of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Ihab Al-Qubbaj, Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education of Palestine to promote science and technology cooperation and people-to-people exchange between China and Palestine.
Vice Minister Zhang Jianguo remarked that Vice President Wang Qishan had recently concluded a successful visit to Palestine and reached important consensus with Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah on developing friendly relations between the two countries. Vice Minister Zhang Jianguo said that China is willing to take this as an opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially in the field of STI talent training, and strengthen personnel exchange between the two countries within the framework of the China-Arab States Science and Technology Partnership Program and the Belt and Road Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Action Plan, so as to enrich the content of bilateral relations.
The Palestinian side thanked China for its consistent support for the just cause of the Palestinian people and looked forward to learning from China‘s advanced experience in the fields of e-governance, information technology, digital education and electronic payment, and constantly deepening cooperation in the field of science and technology between the two countries for the benefit of the two peoples.
Guo Wei, Head of the Office of China to Palestine, and Cai Jianing, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, accompanied the leader in the above events.
