On April 2, 2019, the eleventh meeting of the China-Russia Working Group on High Technology and Innovation under the Subcommittee on Science and Technology Cooperation of the Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers’ Regular Meeting was held in Moscow. Chen Linhao, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and Igor Ganshin, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, co-chaired the meeting.
Grigory Trubnikov, first Vice Minister of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, made brief opening remarks at the meeting. He stressed that“the joint projects and programs between China and Russia in the field of science and technology are important parts of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two counties”. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on various topics and reached wide consensus, including delivering joint R&D projects, holding joint science and technology exhibitions, strengthening China-Russia cooperation in science and technology under Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS and other multilateral frameworks, promoting cooperation under the framework of NICA and other mega-science programs and the prospects of China-Russia cooperation in high technology and innovation.
After the meeting, the two sides signed the meeting minutes.
