On June 9, 2022, the 13th meeting of the China-Russia Working Group on High Technologies and Innovation under the framework of the Subcommittee on Science and Technology Cooperation of the China-Russia Prime Ministers’ Regular Meeting Committee was held via video link. Xu Jie, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, and Deputy Director-General Terashkevich of the Department of International Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, co-chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and reached broad consensus on issues such as cooperation within the framework of mega science devices, joint research projects, joint S&T exhibitions, and proposals for deepening China-Russia S&T cooperation. The two sides also agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in such fields as carbon balance monitoring, biotechnology, S&T information exchange, and Arctic scientific research.
