On June 20, 2023, Vice Minister Zhang Guangjun attended the 7th China-Germany Inter-governmental Consultation in Berlin, and signed an agreement on new energy vehicle cooperation with Mr. Hartmut Hoeppner, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport.

　　On June 19, Vice Minister Zhang held consultations with Ms. Sabine Doering, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and exchanged opinions on deepening cooperation in science, technology and innovation.

　　On the same day, Vice Minister Zhang held consultations with Mr. Hartmut Hoeppner, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport. The two sides reached consensus to promote bilateral cooperation in new energy vehicles and make joint contribution to address global climate change.

　　During the visit, Vice Minister Zhang held a symposium with members of the Alliance of German Science Organisations, and met with Prof. Jan Woerner, President of German National Academy of Science and Engineering. He introduced China‘s international cooperation in science, technology and innovation and its engagement with Germany, and his remarks was well received by the science community in Germany.

　　Dai Gang, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Chen Linhao, Minister-counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Germany accompanied the Vice Minister for the visit.
